Welcome to our "Workshop"!
Each ornament begins as a black and white drawing that will be
created into a beautiful, hand-painted wooden ornament. Art
work is then used to create a silkscreen. The image is then
screened onto a 3mm or 6mm Baltic Birch hardwood board and hand
cut using a scroll saw or band saw.
After the ornament
is cut out it is ready to be hand-painted, drilled at the top
for a hanger and finished with any other finishing touches that
are needed. Before each ornament is shipped to the customer, it
is personalized and dated per customers instructions. By using
hardwood and permanent paints the ornaments will last a lifetime
with very little special care. These handcrafted ornaments are
sure to bring back fond holiday memories, year after year.
These ornaments also make great gift tags and are a unique way
to add a personal touch to any gift of appreciation.
Below
are some pictures of our workshop showing our process. The first
image shows how the images are silk screened onto a hardwood board.
Then each ornament is individually hand cut. The third
picture below shows how the ornament backs are painted.
The next step involves individually hand painting each ornament
in the colors chosen. A string hanger is then added to
each. Personalizing is the final step which is added based
upon customers requests.
